Ξεχάστε το Flash και στο Android
Η Adobe κάνει αυτό που είχε αναγγείλει, σκοτώνει το Flash για το Android και εστιάζει την προσοχή και την προσπάθεια στα PC. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι το νέο Android 4.1 Jelly Bean δεν θα έχει Adobe Flash ή αν έχει με κάποιο τρόπο αυτό δεν θα είναι πιστοποιημένο από την Adobe.
Πρακτικά αυτό σημαίνει ότι το τέλος εποχής για το Flash στο Android και το full web έφτασε και η Adobe απλά ρίχνει την ταφόπλακα πάνω στον κώδικα. Καταλυτική ημερομηνία για την αλλαγή θα είναι η 15η Αυγούστου, όπου από εκεί και πέρα το Flash για το Android θα αποτελεί παρελθόν από το Play Store. Χαρακτηριστικό είναι το κομμάτι από το blog της Adobe που αναφέρει (τα έντονα γράμματα από εμένα):
There will be no certified implementations of Flash Player for Android 4.1.
Beginning August 15th we will use the configuration settings in the Google Play Store to limit continued access to Flash Player updates to only those devices that have Flash Player already installed. Devices that do not have Flash Player already installed are increasingly likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install it from the Google Play Store after August 15th
